Holiday Donation Match
All donations up to $20,000 doubled!

make your donation go twice as far this holiday season

HorseSense is seeking immediate community support through a holiday matching gift opportunity to help sustain our therapeutic horseback riding program.

By way of our Holiday Donation Match campaign, all donations up to $20,000 will be doubled, thanks to the kindness and generosity of the De Lacy Family Foundation.

Our small 501(c)3 nonprofit organization is 100% dependent upon the community’s support during the winter season, when lessons are not possible due to inclement weather. The Holiday Donation Match will help support our program until we are able to resume lessons in March.

You support is keeping our mission growing strong

HorseSense is dedicated to enriching the lives of youth, adults and military Veterans with disabilities through a partnership with the horse. We strive to improve the bodies, minds and spirits of riders by providing weekly therapeutic horseback riding lessons that:

  • Improve physical health

  • Provide a sense of accomplishment and control

  • Create a positive environment for learning

  • Emphasize the capabilities of each rider

In a program tailored to those who’ve served, our HorseSense for Heroes Veterans program accommodates the special rehabilitative needs of military Veterans who are recovering from injuries sustained in service to our nation.

Demand for therapeutic horseback riding has grown exponentially in recent years. We are working hard to help as many individuals as we possibly can, but we can’t do it without you.

Your support is ensuring our mission continues growing strong —
and we could not be more thankful!

“The horses have never minded if Erik told stories that were hard to understand. They don’t mind if his speech is delayed or his balance is off. The horses understand him better than most humans. To see him riding independently, mastering the two-point and trotting is nothing short of a miracle.”
-Marlis O’Brien, Erik’s Mom
