A Bale a Day Campaign 2025

a bale a day keeps the hunger away….

As the summer days draw short and winter fast approaches, everyone is glad to enter a season of rest and recuperation…especially the hardworking horses of HorseSense.

Our herd works tirelessly all spring, summer and fall as the backbone of our adaptive riding and horsemanship programs. We couldn’t offer these vital and life-changing programs without them!

During the cold months ahead, each member of our 9-horse herd will need to eat ONE bale of hay each day to stay healthy and strong for the next riding season—that’s 9 bales every day and about 1,600 bales all winter! We rely on the generous support of the community to keep their tummies full when the grass stops growing.

We need to raise $8,000 to cover the cost o hay for our herd this winter…Will you help take care of our horses this winter?
